Do you ever find yourself in a state of complete and utter irritation with everything?
The next time you notice yourself feeling irritated, try this simple meditation practice… Sit in a quiet place and close your eyes. Bring your attention to your breathing. You don’t need to try to make your breathing be a certain way. Simply witness the in-breath and witness the out-breath.
Next add a mantra or affirmation. For example, I think “Om Namah Shivaya” with the in-breath and again with the out-breath. You might want to think “I am Peace” with the in-breath, and “I am Love” with the out-breath… Or you could think “I am Love” with the in-breath and “I am Light” with the out-breath…
Sit and think your mantra or affirmation with the breath until you feel the irritations dissolving. It may take twenty minutes (or longer) to achieve a feeling of peace.
