StarFire Teja’s StarFire Friday Blessing: May You Harness the Strength of Your Happy Orange Place Inside

May you connect with the strength of your roots.

May you feel at home in the ground of your being.

May your weekend be blessed with reminders of your inner resources.

May you harness the strength of your Happy Orange place inside.

Dear readers, as I shared in my June 1st post, “Shifting Focus and Starting Fresh,” I am only blogging occasionally this month of June, so that I can focus primarily on writing the next book… Reaching for Orange: Practices, Visualizations, & Blessings to Help You Happy Up Your Life.

This week I have very much enjoyed working on this next book, and one evening during my sitting meditation practice, I heard: “This book, Reaching for Orange, is going to be life-changing and important for many people.” Well, we shall see if that will be true! In any case, I can hardly wait to share this next book with you! In Reaching for Orange you will learn many ways to harness the strength of your Happy Orange place inside.

As I’m writing Reaching for Orange, in my daily life I am doing many of the practices suggested in the book, so what you will read in its pages is infused with my practical understanding of the information.

My current affirmation comes from a recent blog post, “Guided Imagery for Shifting Negative Thoughts”… I have been saying this daily: “I am on the Sunshine Train… God is driving, and all I have to do is relax in my happy seat, and do some writing, and trust that all is heading in the right direction!”

What are you enjoying this week?
What inner strengths are you celebrating?
What affirmations are you saying?

    1. I haven’t moved yet, but I did sign the contract for the new school, new district I’m going to working at. I’m trying to find a new space to live soon, so that I’m not doing all of it right before school starts. I do have the summer off, but to be honest, it’s going by soo quickly! Also, next week, I’m hoping to start a lot of lesson planning so that I’m off to a prepared start with the school year.

      1. Yes, the summer is going by quickly… the year is going by quickly in fact!
Blessings for finding your new home and getting settled, while also doing lesson planning…
With a lot of peace, love, and trust, you will get it all done! 🙂 ❤

      2. You’re so kind, Teja!! Thank you so much for your blessings!! I ordered your book “The Tejaswini Ramayana”. I can’t wait to dive into it! I seem to be out of my reading slump and with it being summer, I’m going to have some time to catch up on book reading 🙂 ❤

    1. p.s. Andrea… I’m not sure if you’ve seen any of my posts about the book, so thought I’d give you a little background… I studied nearly a dozen versions of the Ramayana over the last fifteen years, and in 2010-2013 I was getting what I call “downloads”, ideas for my own version of the Ramayana which I saw being made into a film like Avatar… while I was publishing my version I found out that James Cameron has already been considering making of film of the Ramayana! He’s been to India several times and loves the story… it is a fantastical ancient story… So anyway, in the Fall of 2017 I felt that it was time to write my version, so I spent a year studying all of my notes and filling two binders with more notes, inspirations, articles, etc. ~ My version puts a bit of a sci-fi spin on the tale, but many of the aspects are there in the originals, such as spacecraft… I really hope you will enjoy a deep experience with it… Blessings!

      1. Thank you so much for filling me in on the details. If I’m completely honest, I hadn’t heard of the Ramayana before. I’ve seen Avatar though! 🙂 I’ve read some sci-fi books before and enjoyed reading them, so I think I’ll enjoy reading your book! How long did it take you to write the book? 🙂

  1. I’m not surprised that you hadn’t heard of the Ramayana… while I was working on the book I took a little poll among Facebook friends, and at that time I was surprised at how many people hadn’t heard of it… because I had been absorbed in my own little spiritual Ramayana world, I just assumed that most of my friends had also heard of it! 🙂 Especially because many of my friends are on similar spiritual paths… so that was a real eye-opener!

Now I’m not surprised when people haven’t heard of it… In India it is so popular that in the 80s there was a tv series on it, and every Sunday everything (businesses, trains, etc) closed while that tv show was on! So in India it would be very unusual for people to not know about it… it’s been very popular there for many centuries…

Anyhow, because I had spent a solid year preparing, once I actually started writing, it only took about a month to do the first draft… but then I spent many weeks on revisions… Still, in the published copies there are a few typos, which most books have, and there are a few minor mistakes, like in one scene I meant to say they were clashing “cymbals” but I printed it saying “symbols”… makes me laugh every time I read it! 🙂

I really hope you enjoy the read!!! 🙂

  2. I find it amazing how ignorant we are sometimes of other cultures and histories. In college, I took American and British literature courses and learned about famous works and writers written in English. But it wasn’t until I started taking world literature that I finally started learning bit by bit about more works around the world 🙂 I remember hearing a snippet of the Quran and thinking it sounded so beautiful! So it’s always fun to learn about what is important to other cultures and peoples.

I love learning about the writing process. (I think it’s because I’ve always wanted to write a book, but haven’t figured the best way to go about it, a way that works for me. And also because I don’t think that goal has taken priority.) It sounds like a lot of preparation/research for the book. Sounds like the writing for the book flowed! Haha, typos happen to me all of the time. And sometimes I’m left thinking well that word works too. 🙂

      1. I had a vision for it in Nov.-Dec. of last year. I’ve written some chapters but sort of lost the inspiration for it. I think it’s more that I don’t make time for it..even I should and have the time. I’m hoping to revisit the chapters soon. 🙂
