StarFire Friday Blessing: May You Feel That You Are Standing On Holy Ground

May you feel a blazing fire of Love burning in your heart.

May you cultivate a joyful attitude in your mind.

May your weekend be blessed with getting your merry on!

May you feel that you are standing on holy ground.

Dear readers,

In the Bible, when the Lord appeared to Moses in flames of fire from within a bush, Moses went closer to see why the strange bush was not burning up, and God said to him, “Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy ground.”

How do you feel when you read that statement, “the place where you are standing is holy ground”?

To me, that proclamation means that every place we stand on this sacred Earth, is, in fact, holy ground. And that makes me feel quite merry and joyful and grateful!

A most happy St. Nicholas Day today, to all who celebrate!

  1. When I read that statement it reminded me of the lines from a poem called “The Place Where You Are Now” by Hafiz. “This place where you are right now / God circled on a map for you. / Wherever your eyes / and arms and heart can move / Against the earth and the sky, / The Beloved has bowed there – / Our Beloved has bowed there knowing / You were coming.” The whole poem is a beautiful read.. Thank you for the reminder that “every place we stand on this sacred Earth, is, in fact, holy ground”. Wishing you a joyful week ahead! 😊❤️

    1. Thank you for that great comment, Andrea! 🙂

I love Hafiz so much!!! (In fact, on my 46th Birthday I opted to have a solo evening at home, and the place I lived at the time had a fireplace, so I built a fire and drank port whilst reading Hafiz poetry aloud! It was one of my best birthdays ever!) I’ll have to read that poem you mentioned again, I think it’s in my book, and I may have read it on that birthday night…

And you are so welcome for the reminder of holy ground… Wishing you a joyful week ahead also, I hope you are off to a good start! 🙂 ❤
