Praying for the 3 “C”s!

“The temple bell stops but I still hear the sound coming out of the flowers.”
~ Matsuo Basho

Dear readers, I cannot hear the resonance of bells coming out of flowers, but I can feel the sorrows emanating from people as we navigate one of the strangest times in human history.

My prayer is for all of us to remain calm and to be of good courage… And, to be of good cheer, when possible.

(Praying for the 3 “C”s! = Calm, Courageous, and Cheerful!)

What is your prayer for humanity today?

With a tender heart,

Prayer for a Pandemic by An Unknown Author

Dear readers, as you look at this photo of a sunny woodland path, I hope you feel cheerfulness of mind and peacefulness of heart…

In these uncertain times, some really potent writings are surfacing, such as the following prayer, written by an unknown author. I wonder why that person chose to remain anonymous?

PRAYER FOR A PANDEMIC

May we who are merely inconvenienced
Remember those whose lives are at stake.

May we who have no risk factors
Remember those most vulnerable.

May we who have the luxury of working from home
Remember those who must choose between preserving their health or making their rent.

May we who have the flexibility to care for our children when their schools close
Remember those who have no options.

May we who have to cancel our trips
Remember those that have no place to go.

May we who are losing our margin money in the tumult of the economic market
Remember those who have no margin at all.

May we who settle in for a quarantine at home
Remember those who have no home.

During this time when we cannot physically wrap our arms around each other,
Let us yet find ways to be the loving embrace of God to our neighbors.

Amen.

~ Author Unknown

(This prayer was posted on Facebook on March 12th by Grace United Church in Sarnia, Ontario, Canada… Thanks to my Aunt, Sister Jane, O.S.B., who sent it my way in an email!)

Amen! May we find ways to be the loving embrace of the Divine to each other!

With gratitude and lots of love,

The 3 E’s for Working With Your Holiday Emotions

So, dear readers, are you getting your Merry On during this holiday season? Are your nerves feeling frazzled at times? Are you noticing any difficult emotions surfacing or lurking around the edges?

Here is a simple practice for working with your holiday emotions, that I am calling “The 3 E’s” ~

~ Enjoy your happy, merry, cheerful, peaceful, joyful, expanded, and loving emotions.

~ Endure your agitated, irritated, overwhelmed, frustrated, angry, sad, and jealous emotions.

~ Embrace ALL of your emotions, recognizing that they are all simply energies passing through you… They are energies, which are triggered by endless seen and unseen causes! ~ Underneath, behind, and all around these energies is your pure beautiful Self! Embrace yourself as you are in each moment. Look in the mirror and say “I love you” to yourself…

Place one hand on your heart, and visualize healing green energies swirling and pulsing in your vibrant green heart center! Cultivate endless self-love during this holiday season… and beyond.

I hope this post is helpful to you or to someone you love.

With great love,

StarFire Friday Blessing: May You Accept Things As They Are

May you be with yourself exactly as you are in each moment.

May you understand the roots of your feelings.

May your weekend be blessed with loving kindness, happiness, and cheerful thoughts.

May you accept things as they are.

Dear readers,

Here’s a funny one to help you remember today’s blessings:

Accepting Things As They Are = ATATA!

By the way, “accepting things as they are” doesn’t mean that you give up on your visions and do nothing… Rather, it means that even while you are working towards your goals, you can relax and be okay with What Is happening right now… You can find small ways to Happy Up each day, even if you are currently having a difficult time.

Cheers to a weekend of Atata! 🙂

With much love,
Teja
