Monday Morning Musings from a Living Starbird

Dear readers,

Greetings from the bird’s nest in my tree-house temple, where the black coffee is hot and the morning light is golden…

My first musing is about the fun I have with words. I selected “StarFire” as my blog name because it represents some of my favorite elements, such as the stars, the sun, fire, and source energies. Since choosing that name, I have noticed that I also love other words that begin with “star” like starflower and starfish… And recently I came across the word “starbird” and fell instantly in love with it! Can you relate to being so amused by words?

According to the Urban Dictionary’s top definition, a Starbird is “A guardian of love and hope that takes the form of a bird at sunrise and a star at dusk. It shines on all who believe in the spirit of those that passed before us who are watching over us.” Some examples given:

“I feel the warmth of my Starbird watching over me.”

“It’s like my Starbird is right on my shoulders.”

“I lost my Uncle, but I gained a Starbird.”

Isn’t that so wonderful? Have you heard of a Starbird before this moment? I love that meaning, and for my own word-playing purposes, I’ve altered it so that I can be a living Starbird, one who shines love and hope on all beings. As a spiritual helper I do feel that that is part of my role.

This Starbird’s mission is to help elevate humanity to healthier and happier vibrations, and in order to do that I need to generate the energies of love and hope, and to shine the visionary light out into all directions and dimensions! So, as you are reading these words, I pray you feel elevated and inspired…

My second musing is about my review of October. As I sat reading through my journal and calendar for the past month, I felt so happy to be done with that month! October was my third month of feeling rather sick, and at this point I am not sure if I am stuck in a Fibromyaliga flare-up, or if this is my new normal… Either way, I am seriously ready to have some good days again! I wrapped up last month with this affirmation: “I am learning how to manage things better.” Can you relate?

My final musing for today is about the keywords that I have selected as my guiding lights for November. After reviewing October, I sat down in meditation, and the following four intentions arose ~

~ Acceptance ~ As I wrote in a previous post (“StarFire Friday Blessing: May You Accept Things As They Are”), I am working on “Accepting Things As They Are = ATATA!” ~ Well, it is very hard to accept chronic illness, but I know that acceptance brings peace and happiness, so I am continually reminding myself of this intention. Sometimes I say out loud, “Atata, Atata, Atata! I am accepting things as they are!”

~ Gratitude ~ Cultivating the gratitude vibration generates the energy of Love!

~ Ease ~ I am feeling a tad wearied, after 10.5 years of hardships, so now I am really calling in some easeships!

~ Magic ~ I am really needing to experience some magic in my life again…

Can you relate to these keywords? Are you accepting your life circumstances? Do you feel grateful each day? When was the last time you experienced the feeling of ease? Are you experiencing magic in your life now?

What are your keywords for November?

I hope you enjoyed this post…

May your week be blessed with bright shining light!

With much love,
Your Starbird

Realizing (Again) That I Am Not a Salesperson!

Dear readers,

Have you noticed that sometimes realizing what you are not helps you to feel more clearly what you truly are?

For example, I am not a salesperson! Realizing this (again) helps me to feel clearly that I am a spiritual helper whose mission is to help elevate the human species to healthier and happier vibrations.

Before the Fibromyalgia symptoms stopped me in my happy tracks there were many ways that I was planning to be of service to humanity, but now, as I face the reality of this body’s limitations, I am finding that writing is what I can do… So one of my current affirmations is, “Happy Up and Keep On Writing!” And meanwhile, the bank account is in serious need of some replenishment…

About five months ago I joined the Amazon Associates Program, thinking that I could easily promote products that I truly love and believe in… So I linked to various products in my posts, but nothing ever happened… Leading me to realize (again) that I am not a salesperson… So today I closed that account and took all the product links off of my website… And, I updated the Donate Page to be simpler. Now there are just three options on that page: Donate, Order Teja’s books, and/or Order a MiniMat (Amethyst Crystal Biomat)…

I have such good intentions to be helpful with these blog posts.
I work for the Forces of Goodness!
If you are able to contribute something to help support my work, I will be so incredibly grateful! 🙂

With love and hope,
Teja

Do You Want to Be Happy?

“A strong determination to be happy will help you. Do not wait for circumstances to change, thinking falsely that in them lies the trouble. Do not make unhappiness a chronic habit, thereby affecting yourself and your associates. It is blessedness for yourself and others if you are happy. If you possess happiness you possess everything; to be happy is to be in tune with God. That power to be happy comes through meditation.”
~ Paramahansa Yogananda

Dear readers,

If you have been following my blog for a while, then you know that I am all about helping the human species to elevate to healthier and happier vibrations. I believe that being happy is very important, and many of the world’s spiritual teachers also place great emphasis on the importance of being happy…

So, you can imagine my surprise when recently, on two separate occasions, two different males in my inner circle expressed that they do not value happiness as a goal in life. One said to me, “Hmm, I’m not so much concerned with “happiness”.” So I asked what he is concerned with, and he replied, “Excellent question.” The other fellow told me, “I don’t want to be happy – I want to be productive.”

It’s always an interesting, juicy moment when one of our cherished assumptions is challenged! There I was assuming that everyone wants to be happy!

Do you want to be happy?

If you do want to be happy, then you might enjoy reading my new book, Reaching for Orange: Practices, Visualizations, & Blessings to Help You Happy Up Your Life… available now on Lulu and Amazon!

By the way, this new book is not about the fruit, but I selected the oranges photo for this post because it feels so warm and happy to me. 🙂

May All Beings Be Free of Suffering!
May All Beings Be Happy (even if they don’t want to be)!!! 🙂

With lots of love and happy vibes,
Teja

Spiritual Care for the Sunset Chapter

Dear readers,

Happy Monday to you! As I sip my happy black coffee in my happy orange mug, I am feeling grateful that I do not feel dizzy today. Last week I had a run of bad days in which I experienced dizziness for seven days. Thankfully I have an appointment with my new doctor this Thursday. Hopefully she will figure out what causes my bad days.

Anyhow, yesterday was my first good day without dizziness, and I enjoyed creating a new page on my website. The Sunset~Chapter page describes my offering of online spiritual care to the dying and their families during the sunset chapter. Here is the first paragraph, in which I explain the symbolism:

“The Sunset Chapter is the last chapter as the sun is going down at the end of the book of life. Chapter one begins with birth, the sunrise… the middle chapters are the days and nights of the lifetime, with a sunset each night to help us practice letting go (of each day), in preparation for the ultimate letting go of our lives at the last sunset, at the end of the last chapter.”

This online offering is one more way that I hope to serve others – as part of my ministry as a spiritual helper who works to elevate the human species to healthier and happier vibrations.

Last week, due to all those bad days, I was not able to visit my hospice patients, but I’m really hoping to feel better and be able to make some visits this week.

Please check out my new offering, and keep it in mind for future reference, for when you might know someone who is dying and needs spiritual care support. Here is my new page: Sunset~Chapter.

Thank you for reading this post!
I hope you enjoy your week! 🙂

Bright Blessings for Goodness,
Teja

StarFire Teja’s StarFire Friday Blessing: May You Feel Passion

May you enjoy your roles in life.

May you be clear about what you stand for.

May your weekend be blessed with invigoration, revelation, and relaxation.

May you feel passion.

Dear reader,

What do you feel passionate about? Do you have clear convictions and visions? What is on your mind the most lately? And what do you most deeply want?

When I was in high school, I loved reading the news for my current events class. I felt very intrigued about everything that was happening in the world. So when it came time to go to college, I chose the Political Science major. At the time it seemed like a good fit for me, because I certainly had some fire in my blood, which I had inherited from my paternal grandfather, who was very political. He worked for a labor union and he was very passionate about the Democratic party in the state of Indiana. He and I enjoyed discussing politics, and one semester I even worked as an intern in his office, coordinating a get-out-the-vote drive.

I felt a lot of passion during elections just like my Grandpa, and I really thought that politics was my life path… But, political science majors were required to regularly read several different newspapers, and during my junior year, when the Gulf War was happening, I found myself crying every morning while reading the news. It was just so heartbreaking to read about all the bloodshed and all the mothers losing their sons. I became very upset about all the violence and corruption. So, even though I was required to read the news, I began taking breaks from it. (That was one of the early clues that I am an HSP, a Highly Sensitive Person!)

The following year, during my last semester at Butler University, I found my true passion in an Anthropology class called “Religion & Ritual Around the World.” I have been studying religion and spirituality ever since, and over the past 27 years since college, I have discovered that the fire in my blood is not for the political arena (sorry, Grandpa!), but rather it is for a mission to help elevate the human species to happier and healthier vibrations.

With each person who becomes happier and healthier, their happier and healthier vibrations radiate out and help the collective consciousness to be happier and healthier. So, I believe that my role in working to end all the senseless wars is through helping people to happy up and to heal themselves.

This weekend I will continue waiting patiently for the proof copy of my new book to arrive… Once I approve it, the book will be available for you to order. It is my deepest prayer that Reaching for Orange: Practices, Visualizations, & Blessings to Help You Happy Up Your Life will be helpful to many people. This book was born out of the fire in my blood to help elevate people, so we can all enjoy more happiness and peace in the world.

Do you have fire in your blood for something?

Happy Weekend to you!

With much love,
Teja
