Are You of the World?

Jesus said, “Be in the world but not of the world.”

When I think of how it is for me, I see that I am definitely not OF the world, and I am trying to figure out how to be IN the world!

What about you? Are you of the world? Or, like me, are you not of the world, and trying to figure out how to be in it? Or, are you balanced in the way that Jesus recommended, in the world but not of it?

I am a spiritual helper… I am not a perfect spiritual being. I am walking my path and dealing with what arises as best I can. I know a lot of tools for happy-ing up, that I use regularly and they work for me, so I am inspired to share them with others… But, I am not perfectly peaceful at all times. I get triggered, I get irritated, I get sad.

And, I experience some very high vibrational states in which I feel incredible love and an uncommon amount of compassion for all beings… But, I do not live in those amazingly blissful states all the time. I find myself judging and worrying. I get offended and hurt. I expect too much of others and then feel disappointed.

And, lately I am feeling very, very happy about this new nun chapter of my life, and I am feeling super inspired to help others as much as I can (given the limitations of my body)… So perhaps I am figuring out how to “be in the world” more than I realize!

Maybe when I launch my new book, Reaching for Orange: Practices, Visualizations, & Blessings to Help You Happy Up Your Life, I will truly be in the world…

So, dear readers, what is your status on this topic?

StarFire Teja’s StarFire Friday Blessing: May You Surrender to Something Greater & Enjoy the Humility Vibration

May you appreciate all the women in your life.

May you feel your wholeness.

May your weekend be blessed with deep peace.

May you surrender to Something Greater and enjoy the humility vibration!

When you let go of the idea that you are doing everything alone, in that moment of surrendering a relaxation happens in your being. It’s like when you suddenly realize that you are tensing your shoulders and you let them relax down. Ahhh. Yes. That’s right.

That feeling of relaxation arises from the humility vibration. When you surrender to a power beyond yourself, that activates the humility vibration, which gives you feelings of peace, calm, trust, and lighthearted curiosity. While enjoying the humility vibration you still take action, but you take action knowing that you are being assisted by Something Greater. “Let go and let God” does not mean that you lie down and quit, but rather it means that you let the Divine help you.

I’m reminded of that beautiful story about Jesus called “Footprints in the Sand” in which he tells the person that during their most difficult times he carried them. It is a good reminder that we are never alone. No matter what your religion or other cosmic belief system, there is Something Greater that supports you.

May All Beings Know Deep Peace.

Happy International Women’s Day!

StarFire Teja’s StarFire Friday Prayer: Master of Your Destiny

May you align your will with the Divine Will and become the Master of your destiny!

May your weekend be blessed with just what you need to feel rejuvenated, balanced, and sparked with magic!

May all beings be free of suffering. May all beings be happy!

Lately I have seriously been questioning the phrase “Let Go and Let God.” How do we do that? How do we navigate this terrestrial terrain where Jesus said to “Be in the world but not of it.” How do we know when to act and when to wait? It seems that aligning our will with the Divine Will is a skill which is maybe different for each of us. Perhaps there is no rule book and we each have to figure this out as we go.

And yet, Sri Swami Sivananda said, “You are the Master of your destiny. God helps those who help themselves.” What do you think of that? Are you finding a good balance between your free will and God’s Will for you?

Dear readers, in the month of February I will be posting blog articles here on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.
Let’s all make this month a happy high vibe one!
Gratitude Up, Happy Up, Magic Up!!!

Only Light Can Drive Out Darkness

Martin Luther King Jr. said, “Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.” He also said, “If you are seeking the highest good, I think you can find it through love.”

I express those same ideas in my new book:
The Tejaswini Ramayana: The Way of Rama in the Shakahara StarFire Universes.
The Ramayana is a very old story from India in which the Light ultimately wins over the darkness. My version is a fusion of ancient sacred scripture with elevated futuristic vision, in which the highest good is found through love. The Super Hero Avatars elevate wounded beings rather than killing wicked beings.

Jesus also taught his followers to love their enemies. Worldwide, the saints ever work for Goodness and they see the light shining even in the worst of sinners. As Martin Luther King Jr. said, only light can drive out darkness. So this means that we each have to cultivate the light within ourselves.

One of my daily mantras that helps me to raise my vibration into light and love is “Om Namah Shivaya” which means I bow to Shiva, who is Pure Consciousness and Bliss. I bow to my innermost Self, which is Pure Consciousness and Bliss. When spoken as a greeting it means essentially “Namaste,” I bow to the Divine Consciousness in you, that is also in me. In this video I am singing this mantra on the Holy Red Rocks of Sedona, Arizona:

Sending Shiva’s Love and Light to All Beings!
Om Namah Shivaya.

Into the Fire

As the musical fantasy film begins, each character sings “I wish…” setting the stage for the Disney movie’s central theme: angst over desires. When I saw Into the Woods (Christmas 2014 with Meryl Streep and Johnny Depp), I loved it so much that I went to see it again the next week. At that time I was forty-four years old, and I had been consumed for decades by a burning desire to meet a charming prince on a white horse who I was just sure would complete me and make me happy. So that movie really touched some deep chords. For me it was a profound external acknowledgement of the unsatisfied yearnings inside me. Anyone who is suffering over unfulfilled desires can find comfort by watching that movie. And, at the same time, it is possible to change our desires and free ourselves of that misery.

For years I prayed to be free of that desire for prince charming. It seemed hopeless because the desire was so strong, but then, by a series of what seemed like unfortunate events, my desires changed. Now I am writing my own new movie called Into the Fire, in which I have taken responsibility for my own happiness. I am married to God and the Spiritual Life, and I now see that as a blessing.

The ancient sages and mystics in India taught the same thing that Jesus taught, that the Kingdom of God is within. The Fire of Divinity is inside each of us already. We just have to sit still and tune in, inside, to that Fire. Everything in all the universes is inside each of us already. When we go inside ourselves regularly, in sitting meditation, or walking in nature, with practice we begin to find more happiness within our own beings than we could ever find with another person.

In the Radiance Rising section at the beginning of my new book (before I begin the fascinating story), I offer an extensive list of spiritual practices that will help you to also find happiness within. To order your copy now, please click on the book’s title here, The Tejaswini Ramayana: The Way of Rama in the Shakahara StarFire Universes.

So, we have a choice. We can go Into the Woods, crying about what we want and can’t seem to find. OR, we can go Into the Fire, burning through the desires for external things, and finding our happiness inside our very own selves.

I bow to the human condition, and I pray for the happiness of all beings.
