Guided Imagery for Shifting Negative Thoughts

Here comes the Sunshine Train!

How often do you witness negative thoughts going through your mind? Are you aware of what triggers negative thoughts for you? How quickly do you shift negative thoughts into positive thoughts?

Last night a simple little thing happened that set off a chain of negative thoughts in my mind. Because I have established a long pattern of cultivating the witness, I watched those thoughts quickly spiraling deeper into negativities, and I thought, “Wow, that’s a really dark train!”

I laughed to myself, thinking that yes indeed, that “train of thoughts” was very black and heading into a dark black tunnel… and that’s when I thought, “Good-bye dark train… Here comes the Sunshine Train!” Spontaneously I visualized a cheerful train filled with Sunlight… and I imagined that God was driving the Sunshine Train, and all I had to do was surrender and take my happy seat… then I mused that my small self had been driving the dark train, but on the Sunshine Train, my higher self could just relax and trust that all is heading in the right direction!

You can use this visualization anytime you notice a negative train of thoughts beginning to chug through your mind… Simply banish the dark train into a black tunnel… and get on the Sunshine Train! You can visualize your Sunshine Train to be however you like… paint it in your favorite colors… decorate it in your personal style… and notice who is driving your Sunshine Train… and is there any music playing on your happy train? Is coffee being served?

I hope this funny little visualization helps you to shift your negative trains of thought into positive trains of thought! This is yet one more way to help Happy Up your life! Choo, choo!! 🙂

And remember… Shift Happens!

Applying The Tejaswini Ramayana in Your Daily Life

Recently my Mom, who is Catholic, was reading my version of the Ramayana, and one morning she said that she was struggling with some negativities, and then she thought, “I need Shiva to remind me that I’m a positive person!” She jokingly told me that the alarms should have been sounding!

In my version of the Ramayana, Lord Shiva makes a Plan for helping to keep the Avatars elevated. You see, even Divine Incarnations cannot always remember their divinity because they are in human bodies which are susceptible to great forgetfulness. Most of us regularly experience this spiritual amnesia, which is why we need frequent reminders of our divine nature. That is why I do daily spiritual practices and that is also why I work to inspire others to do spiritual practices. When we remember who we truly are, we feel happier and more positive about life.

The joke about the alarms sounding refers to a strategy that Shiva devises in my version, The Tejaswini Ramayana: The Way of Rama in the Shakahara StarFire Universes, to help keep the divine monkeys elevated. When you read this ancient tale, embellished with my touches of fantastical science fiction elements, you will see many ways that it applies to your daily life.

I very much look forward to hearing from you about how this book applies to your life!

Happy Inspired New Year’s Day!

Last night I got in bed at 11:30pm, and happily fell asleep to the sound of fireworks. This morning when I awoke, my first thoughts were positive and optimistic: “It’s over! Now 2018 is in the past with other difficult years (such as 2009, 2011, and 2013)! And in 2019 I am Happy, Healthy, Holy, Hopeful, and Helpful. I am enjoying the Happiness and Radiance of the Spiritual Life.” As those thoughts passed through my mind, I spontaneously saw a mental vision of the yard covered with a thick blanket of pure white snow. Well, it did not actually snow last night, and I do not usually wake up to such positive thoughts. I am not a morning person, and I usually have to summon the inner coach to help guide the morning thoughts in a positive direction, so waking up to happy inspired thoughts was a delightful surprise which feels like a good omen for the New Year. I hope that you are also off to a happy inspired start for 2019.

To Happy Up your mind this January, please read my new book,
