Powerful Practices with Your Cuppa Coffee

Dear readers,

Greetings from Indiana! In this post I will happily share some suggestions for practices you can do to supercharge your cuppa coffee (or tea) and thus infuse yourself with positivity and high vibes! ~

~ Before taking that first sip, offer your cuppa to Something Greater than yourself… And then say some prayers or intentions… For example, I offer my cuppa to Hanuman, who is an aspect of Divinity in Hinduism. He represents pure devotion, love, courage, strength, and positive energies. So after offering the coffee, I say an affirmation like, “I am drinking positive energies and thinking positive thoughts.” ~ Try this for yourself, in your own way, and experience the power of your mind!

~ As you take those first few sips (which in my experience are the very best sips in the cup), practice the art of savoring… For just a moment or two, focus all of your mental energies on tasting and experiencing those sips. Imagine you are becoming one with the coffee. ~ You may find that those few moments become your favorite part of the whole day!

~ After savoring the first sips, take a moment to cultivate Gratitude by appreciating everything that has gone into the manifestation of your cuppa coffee. As the coffee beans grew on the trees, there were many elements that sustained and surrounded them such as sunshine, earth, rain, wind, flowers, leaves, trees, birdsong, and starlight… And then the beans were harvested by the work of human hands… And remember to also be grateful for the powerful high vibration energies inherent in those magical beans! ~ This moment of appreciation will send gratitude vibrations out to all the realms, which will come back to you as many beautiful gifts. Watch for their arrival in your life!

If you have been following my blog for a while, then you know that I am a lover of black coffee! Do you like it black also? If not, if you must add something white to your cuppa, please consider a coconut milk creamer… The cows will bless you with their gratitude vibrations! And Holy Coconut Shells, the Organic Coconut Milk Creamer by So Delicious is truly so delicious! Check it out here: Simply 5 Ingredients.

Dear reader, I hope you enjoyed reading this post as much as I enjoyed writing it for you… 🙂

With positivity and high vibes,

Monday Morning Musings on Protection

Do you ever pray for protection, for yourself or for your loved ones? If so, how do you say those prayers, and how do you imagine they are answered?

My first musing this morning is about praying for protection, and what that really means. For example, God’s protection does not always mean protection from harm, because just look at all the terrible things that happen to people!

When we pray to God, or Spirit, or the Universe, or a Force in Nature (or however else you might conceptualize Something Greater beyond yourself), if we pray for protection only from harm, then we may find ourselves disappointed (or even devastated) when some harm comes our way. So we have to go deeper, to ask for what we might truly need in any given situation…

A while back I was feeling afraid when I was home alone one night, and I was praying for protection, and that is when I realized that deeper than asking for protection from harm is asking for protection from fear

My next musing is about what happens when we ask for protection from fear… When we are protected from fear, then even if the worst thing we imagine happens, we will be able to stay in the highest love vibration, trusting the unfolding of Life.

So if the worst thing happens, we may die, or we may survive and heal, or we may survive but be shattered and unable to heal the wound. Regardless of the outcome, if the worst thing happens, the best thing we can do is to accept it and to trust that it was meant to be as part of the unfolding of Life.

My last musing is about applying this concept to our prayers for others… Typically, when we ask for the protection of our loved ones we do so because we feel afraid of something bad happening to them. However, our worries, anxieties, and fears do not help the other people, and may even cause them harm, so again, when we pray for their protection, the deeper prayer is really about protecting them from both our fears and their own fears.

Perhaps when I pray for the protection of my two sons what actually happens is an energetic force arises from the depths of my being and shoots out like a missile into their energy fields and protects them from any potential ill effects that might be created from their Mom’s fears and worries!

So the deeper prayer would be for me to ask for them and me to be protected from all fears… and for us all to trust in the unfolding of Life.

Dear reader, can you relate to these musings?

Three Hours Left

Dear readers, the intention of this post is not to induce fear, but rather to impart feelings of awe, appreciation, positivity, connectivity, and rootedness in the priorities dwelling in the ground of your being.

Imagine that we humans discovered that in three hours time, some natural force was going to cause planet Earth to explode and entirely disintegrate.

What were your first thoughts when you read that?

When I imagine that there are only three hours left, my first thoughts go towards trying to grok what would happen to everything and everyone… Where would all of our souls go? What would happen to all the memories and experiences and energies?

All of the stories would just be done. All of the histories, cultures, art, music, inventions, and creations would be gone. It is mind-blowing to even consider the ramifications of such an explosion. All of the mountains, oceans, rivers, deserts, canyons, forests, flowers, birds, butterflies, cows, and bears would be gone. And what would happen next?

After considering all of that, my next thoughts go towards deciding how to spend the last three hours. I decided I would spend the first hour calling loved ones and saying good-byes, and the last two hours praying and chanting (singing sacred mantras). My intention would be to die consciously while feeling connected to the Divine Source. To me, that would be the ultimate Surrender to God. I am not sure what happens to us after we die, but I know that when I am singing spiritual songs, I feel connected with Something Greater, and I feel calmed by that Force from beyond this realm. So, I feel that chanting at the time of death would be a way to die peacefully.

I began chanting as a daily spiritual practice more than fifteen years ago. I usually sing along with CDs by my favorite chant artist, Krishna Das. One day in 2008, I was evaluating my priorities in life, and I suddenly found myself saying out loud, “I want to live inside the chant.” Well, at that time my sons were 8 and 11, and I was busy with many worldly responsibilities, so it was not possible to live inside the chant all the time!

Now I’m in a new nun phase, but still there are many things to do each day beyond chanting. So when I think about my priorities if there were three hours left, versus what is happening in my life now, it makes me wonder if I could somehow commit to chanting more each day… But, then I also think that if you knew you were about to die, and you wanted to die a peaceful, conscious death, then of course you would drop everything and just focus on that. Whereas, if you are still in the midst of full-on living, you can’t just drop everything and do your top passion all the time.

What do you think about all that? What would you do if there were only three hours left, and how would those priorities line up with how you live your daily life now?

I hope this post inspires you to feel awe and appreciation for this sacred planet Earth, as well as rootedness in the priorities dwelling in the ground of your being.

May you feel positively connected to everyone and everything!

StarFire Teja’s StarFire Friday Blessing: May You Surrender to Something Greater & Enjoy the Humility Vibration

May you appreciate all the women in your life.

May you feel your wholeness.

May your weekend be blessed with deep peace.

May you surrender to Something Greater and enjoy the humility vibration!

When you let go of the idea that you are doing everything alone, in that moment of surrendering a relaxation happens in your being. It’s like when you suddenly realize that you are tensing your shoulders and you let them relax down. Ahhh. Yes. That’s right.

That feeling of relaxation arises from the humility vibration. When you surrender to a power beyond yourself, that activates the humility vibration, which gives you feelings of peace, calm, trust, and lighthearted curiosity. While enjoying the humility vibration you still take action, but you take action knowing that you are being assisted by Something Greater. “Let go and let God” does not mean that you lie down and quit, but rather it means that you let the Divine help you.

I’m reminded of that beautiful story about Jesus called “Footprints in the Sand” in which he tells the person that during their most difficult times he carried them. It is a good reminder that we are never alone. No matter what your religion or other cosmic belief system, there is Something Greater that supports you.

May All Beings Know Deep Peace.

Happy International Women’s Day!
