Facing My Blogging Reality

Dear readers,

With just two days left in 2019, how are you feeling about the goals you were reaching towards this year? I’m a bit embarrassed to admit this to you, but one of my “stretch” goals for the year was to attract 19,000 blog followers. (At least I can’t hear you laughing now!) 🙂

Well, I didn’t exactly make that goal… But, I am truly grateful for the 133 people who are following the StarFire Teja Blog today… And yesterday’s post was my 250th post this year, so I celebrated that achievement by going back through and reading all of my posts… And I have to say, I feel quite pleased with my work…

And, in looking through my binder of blog post ideas, I came across the inspiration for today’s post: an article written by Christian Mihai on The Art of Blogging back in August, entitled “Why No One Reads Your Blog (and What to Do About It).” After reading that post, I decided that I needed to face my blogging reality…

… And the reality is, I am not putting in the amount of hours of work that it would take to have a successful blog. The main reason is the same reason that I have failed at numerous career attempts over the years, and that is the debilitating symptoms of Fibromyalgia slow me down and prevent me from being able to work at the levels of time and energy that I would otherwise be capable of…

… And, a secondary reason is the same secondary reason that I have failed at so many past endeavors, and that is I do not like marketing, promotion, and sales. Please see my previous post, “Realizing (Again) That I Am Not a Salesperson!” In that article I wrote that as I face the reality of this body’s limitations, I am finding that writing is what I can do… I work for the Forces of Goodness and I have good intentions to be helpful with blog posts, even if I don’t have the mojo to promote them widely and well!

In my post “Defining Your Purpose” I shared that chronic illness and not being able to work is seriously challenging my sense of purpose, but I am determined to master this situation and to somehow be of service to others. And, I am doing all that I can, so perhaps this blog will not ever get much bigger… unless by some miracles!

So, dear readers, I am shifting the focus of the StarFire Teja Blog to being a blog of service, without the “stretch” goal of expanding its reach… I will continue writing because it is fun and because it is helpful to a few people… In 2020 I won’t be trying for any specific goals, but rather I will just be writing with the intent to be helpful.

As a spiritual helper on a mission to help elevate the human species to healthier and happier vibrations, my promise to you is that every day I do practices to happy up my life, and I will continue to share helpful tools and insights to help you to also happy up your life.

Thank you for reading the StarFire Teja Blog!

Let’s Happy Up Together in 2020! 🙂

With gratitude and loving-goodness,
StarFire Teja

Transforming Negative Thoughts

How often do you catch yourself having negative thoughts? Do you ever feel like you are caught in a desperation spin?

In order to stop the spin and master your mind, the first step is identifying the repetitive negative thoughts so that you can re-write them in the positive. Re-writing is a method of re-framing which can help you to powerfully transform your negative thoughts.

After writing down your repetitive negative thoughts, re-write each one in the positive, using as many of the same words as possible. For example, if you often think, “This is terrible,” you could re-write that thought in the positive as “This is temporary.” Another example is re-writing the thought, “I’ve got to get out of here,” in the positive as “I’ve got to relax here.”

Using as many of the same words as possible makes it easier for you to remember to think the new thoughts, because the grooves of the old thoughts are already so established in your mind. If you only change one word, and it begins with the same letter as the old word, that makes the process almost effortless for you…

Once you have re-written the repetitive negative thoughts as positive statements, take out a separate sheet of paper or note card, and write at the top, “To master my mind, practice this new train of thoughts,” and then list only the positive statements on that paper or card.

Read your list of new positive thoughts out loud several times each day, and practice thinking your new thoughts throughout your daily life.

I hope this tool for transforming negative thoughts is helpful to you!

Shifting Focus and Starting Fresh

I love a fresh new month, don’t you?!

Today I awoke to the sound of birds singing in the fresh morning air, with a bright blue sky and sunshine! I felt so much delight as I turned the calendar to June! Holy Coconut Shells and Holy Cow Bells, I am feeling very optimistic about this new month…

Yesterday I really enjoyed reviewing the month of May in my journal and calendar. It was a very fruitful practice in which I gained clarity about my goals and keywords for the month of June. The primary keyword for me this month is Renewal, and there are four points to my renewal focus:

1. Shifting Focus ~ In June I will shift my focus to primarily working on the next book, Reaching for Orange: Practices, Visualizations, & Blessings to Help You Happy Up Your Life… Thus, I will only be blogging occasionally. To learn more about my next book, please read “Double Coffee Days Ahead.”

2. Starting Fresh ~ This month I intend to rise up to a new level of letting go of past hurts and starting fresh in my relationships.

3. Reaching for Orange ~ For more than fifteen years I have been doing daily spiritual practices to reach the Happy Orange place inside. In my new book you will learn much more about reaching your Happy Orange place inside! ~ This month I intend to deepen my connection with the Divine through doing even more daily practices than usual.

4. Happy-ing Up ~ I choose to be happy, no matter what physical or emotional pains may be passing through my system. This month I really intend to keep that choice front and center as much as possible!

Thank you for witnessing my June keywords and intentions. Please share your June intentions down in the comments below, and I will send you daily energies to help you achieve your goals.

Since I will only be blogging occasionally in June, if you are new to the StarFire Teja Blog, you will have time to get caught up on reading previous posts… And, if you have already read all the posts (thank you!), perhaps you will enjoy reviewing some of the previous posts.
