Some people are afraid of their emotions. Are you afraid of your emotions?
When people are afraid of their emotions, it is typically because they fear that the feelings will be too big for them to handle. They fear that the emotions will overwhelm them.
Focusing on Witness Consciousness can help you to become the master of your emotions. If a feeling arises that feels scary, say to yourself, “I am the Witness who is watching this emotion pass through my system.” You are not the emotion, but rather, the emotion is an energy that is passing through you.
I hope this post is helpful to you or to someone you love.

Do you ever find yourself in a state of complete and utter irritation with everything?
The next time you notice yourself feeling irritated, try this simple meditation practice… Sit in a quiet place and close your eyes. Bring your attention to your breathing. You don’t need to try to make your breathing be a certain way. Simply witness the in-breath and witness the out-breath.
Next add a mantra or affirmation. For example, I think “Om Namah Shivaya” with the in-breath and again with the out-breath. You might want to think “I am Peace” with the in-breath, and “I am Love” with the out-breath… Or you could think “I am Love” with the in-breath and “I am Light” with the out-breath…
Sit and think your mantra or affirmation with the breath until you feel the irritations dissolving. It may take twenty minutes (or longer) to achieve a feeling of peace.
Let me know how it goes!
May All Beings Know Deep Peace.
Yesterday on my walk in the neighborhood, I felt seriously annoyed by so many things: the wind, the humidity, the sun, and the discomforts in my body. After about five minutes of noticing all the irritations, I suddenly heard a voice in my head say, “Focus on the Best.”
As soon as I thought, “Focus on the Best” I noticed all the gorgeous brightly colored azaleas blooming in many of the yards. For the rest of my walk, anytime I started to feel annoyed, I brought my awareness back to the flowers.
Do you meditate regularly? If so, then you probably know that this is how it is with most meditations: you witness the passing phenomenon (such as thoughts, feelings, and sensations), and then you just keep bringing your awareness back to the breath or to the mantra or affirmation. In this case I kept bringing my attention back to the flowers.
Happy May to Everyone!
I hope you enjoy some flower meditations!

Every moment we have a choice: get caught up in what’s happening, OR be the Witness of what’s happening.
Getting caught up can look like anxiety, fear, anger, shame, guilt, grief, jealousy, disappointment.
Being the Witness can look like Peace, Patience, Understanding, Acceptance, Gratitude, Compassion, Love, Happiness.
Are you the Witness today?
