A Practice for Activists

Are you an activist?

There are lots of people doing good works as many types of activists: political, social, environmental, animal, and so on. I salute you all! And if you are an activist, this post is for you…

If you are an activist of any kind, you probably spend some of your time watching the news and then posting on social media about all the terrible things that are happening. I know, I get it, we have a lot of really bad problems happening on this planet. And so I deeply appreciate those of you who are willing and able to be activists. I see you working for a better world, and this post is a suggestion of a practice for you to try (if you aren’t already doing this):

Each time you expose the darkness, be very conscious about it, and then spend at least as much time and energy focusing on the light. Imagine what you DO want to see happening, and visualize yourself in higher vibrations. Really see yourself holding the vision for the good things, for the positive, innovative solutions.

The world needs your light… your positivity!

So please don’t get stuck in the focus on the darkness! Expose the darkness as you feel called to, and then focus on the Light, the goodness, the positive visions!

Thank you for your good works on planet Earth.

I hope this post was helpful to you.

End of the Month Journal Review

Do you write in a journal, and/or keep track of things in a calendar? If so, you might like to try this simple practice that I have recently added in my life.

At the end of each month, sit down with your journal and/or calendar, and review what happened during that month. Take mental or written notes, while reflecting upon any themes, goals, insights, and achievements.

After reviewing the month that is ending, take a little time to look at the next month and do some visioning about what you intend to do, feel, and experience in the coming month. Tuning in to your deepest wishes, set 3-5 keywords for the month.

For example, for the month of March, I set these keywords: Acceptance, Forgiveness, Peace, & Grace, and for the month of April: Abundance, Wealth, & Health. Each month I felt that setting those keywords really brought those goals into a clearer focus, which then helped to actualize them in my reality.

I hope you enjoy reviewing the month of April. Please let me know how it goes!
