I Want to Live

Yesterday while lying on my warm healing amethyst crystal biomat, and listening to 40hz music with headphones on, I gathered up every single “I want to die” thought that I’ve had over this past decade, and I sent all of those thoughts out to a black hole…

Then I visualized a golden portal opening above me, and StarFire Radiant Healing Energies were pouring down into me from that portal… And as the healing energies flowed into all of my cells, I affirmed, “I want to live – healthy, strong, and in my power… shining light to others, and loving my family.”

That “will to live” visualization arose from my desire to be alive for my Mom now that my Dad suddenly died, and from my desire to be alive for my precious adult sons, and from my incredible gratitude for the generous donations I just received from two good-hearted people who cared enough to help me reduce my debt. (Those donations brought some much-needed relief to my anxieties about money, and they gave me some hope for the future.)

May All Beings Be Healed of All Wounds.

Guided Imagery for Shifting Negative Thoughts

Here comes the Sunshine Train!

How often do you witness negative thoughts going through your mind? Are you aware of what triggers negative thoughts for you? How quickly do you shift negative thoughts into positive thoughts?

Last night a simple little thing happened that set off a chain of negative thoughts in my mind. Because I have established a long pattern of cultivating the witness, I watched those thoughts quickly spiraling deeper into negativities, and I thought, “Wow, that’s a really dark train!”

I laughed to myself, thinking that yes indeed, that “train of thoughts” was very black and heading into a dark black tunnel… and that’s when I thought, “Good-bye dark train… Here comes the Sunshine Train!” Spontaneously I visualized a cheerful train filled with Sunlight… and I imagined that God was driving the Sunshine Train, and all I had to do was surrender and take my happy seat… then I mused that my small self had been driving the dark train, but on the Sunshine Train, my higher self could just relax and trust that all is heading in the right direction!

You can use this visualization anytime you notice a negative train of thoughts beginning to chug through your mind… Simply banish the dark train into a black tunnel… and get on the Sunshine Train! You can visualize your Sunshine Train to be however you like… paint it in your favorite colors… decorate it in your personal style… and notice who is driving your Sunshine Train… and is there any music playing on your happy train? Is coffee being served?

I hope this funny little visualization helps you to shift your negative trains of thought into positive trains of thought! This is yet one more way to help Happy Up your life! Choo, choo!! 🙂

3 Ways to Calm Your Nervous System in Spring

When the Earth energies are revving up in Springtime, it is super important to keep calming your nervous system. In addition to the usual suggestions for healthy food, regular exercise, and good sleep, here are 3 daily practices you can do to help yourself feel calm and grounded in Spring:

1. Go barefoot outside ~ This is one that I am really going to try to do each and every day. Simply go outside barefoot for five minutes! Put your bare feet on grass or soil, not on concrete. Tune in, and see if you can feel any energies coming into the soles of your feet. If there is any sunshine, that is a bonus, but try to do this even if it’s raining (as long as it isn’t too cold).

2. Listen to something soothing ~ Lie on your back for 20-30 minutes and listen to peaceful music or a visualization with guided imagery. Have a listen to my free chakras meditation, and let me know how you like it.

3. Journal at bedtime ~ As per the usual suggestions, turn off your computer and phone at least an hour or two before bedtime. Yes, I know, we have all broken that rule once or twice (wink, wink). After turning off your devices, sit down with your journal or notebook and write for 10-15 minutes. This can help to settle you before bedtime.

Does Coffee Give You Bear Power?

I joke that Coffee is my spirit animal, but actually I think it might be Bear. Do you drink coffee? Did you see my blog article in January about the health benefits of coffee? (“Coffee is Good Medicine”)

And do you love bears? Recently I discovered a fun Facebook page called Bears Make Me Happy, so now I can enjoy seeing photos of bears in my feed, while drinking my hot black Organic, Fair Trade, dark roast coffee!

In their book, Medicine Cards: The Discovery of Power Through the Ways of Animals, authors Jamie Sams and David Carson write, “The strength of Bear medicine is the power of introspection.” They say that the special energy of Bear has to do with their hibernation in wintertime. Just like Bear, I feel as though I’ve been going deep inside my cave this winter. How about you?

Here’s a short little Bear visualization to bring comfort… imagining you are curled up in a cave with a Mama Bear and her cubs… you feel peaceful and completely at ease… and so do they… the Mama Bear pulls you close and cuddles you, just like one of her own cubs… you feel so much love… you melt in that love… and you send some of that Big Bear Love out to all beings…

Enter the Green Sphere

Do you have any heavy feelings that you would like to dissolve? Are you feeling dense on any level?

I created the following visualization with guided imagery to help dissolve any physical, mental, or emotional pains you may be experiencing now. It will especially help to ease any tight feelings in your chest or gut.

Read the visualization out loud in a soft, soothing tone of voice. Then close your eyes, breathe naturally, and place one hand on your heart and the other hand on your belly. Visualization to Dissolve Heaviness on Any Level

Settling in… getting really comfortable… breathing naturally… and allowing effortless relaxation to flow, from your head… down to your toes… and traveling out into space… somewhere out in the universes… in the fields of stars… and arriving at a temple made of blue crystals… in the center of the temple there is an emerald green sphere… enter the sphere and sit inside it…

… sitting in the emerald green sphere… in the center of the temple made of blue crystals… out in the stars… tuning in to any feelings and sensations… and noticing any images… scents… sounds… tastes… really feeling… and opening to the crystal energies… the healing light… noticing any places in your body or mind or heart that feel tense… allowing the healing crystalline energies to lighten any tension… feeling the tension dissolving… feeling the heaviness becoming light… allowing the density to lighten… feeling yourself healing and relaxing in that light…

… and then coming back out of the green sphere… leaving the blue crystal temple… traveling back through the stars… through the lightness of space… and coming back down fully into your body… feeling connected with the sacred Earth beneath you… and feeling centered and grounded in your being…
